The training workshop provided a practical operational framework for pre-emptive action planning and the simulation game trained the participants’ crisis management skills by playing out an actual crisis where they explored all phases of crisis management. Participants also got to form a crisis committee with their peers and were asked to analyze the crisis, determine a clear strategy and implement the right actions. With the input of the first conference day in mind, participants were prepared to face all crises head on.
